Parker Flex-Tip® tube
This endotracheal tube has a twisting and phased tip which is meant to disrate the risk of trauma during intubation. The distal tip, which is the distinguishing point of this endotracheal tube, is aimed to slide once pooching
features of the airway, like as the oral cords and nasal turbinates, without picking up' hung up' on them, causing trauma and bleeding

Oral Parker Flex- cock ® tube Other design features of this ET tube are a lowered facing scratched opening at the tip and a Murphy eye on each side.

Standard' Shiley ® ETT versus Parker Flex- cock ® ETT The device is available in a large number of takes, cuffedvs. uncuffed, oralvs. nasal preformed performances, and in a range of sizes suitable for adult and pediatric cases. A reinforced interpretation is also offered, as are microlaryngeal sizes.
USES :
The device is designed to reduce the threat of traumatic intubation, which is more likely to do in( mainly) two situations :
1-Nasal intubation, particularly with a narrow passage,e.g. due to fairly large turbinates
2-Intubation with a Seldinger fashion, i.e. over an innovator device similar as a goo-elastic bougie, a fiberoptic bronchoscope, an Aintree intubation catheter, or an airway exchange catheter. With this fashion there's a gap or unforeseen' step- up' between the innovator device and the ET tube's external periphery. This increase in periphery can lead to the ET tube getting' caught', most probably at the position of the laryngeal bay or oral passions. Attempts to advance the ET tube over the innovator device and strongly push the tube can also be moreover unprofitable or beget trauma.
Of course, the Parker Flex- cock ® tube can be chosen in any situation a standard ETT is else used.
